It's Not Only Nun's Who Have Habits

How does your business operate when the pressure is really on, and how do you respond to chaos?

For the firms that I have spoken to so far this year and I hazard a guess that for most, the following will also be true, that ‘Tax Time’ was tough…again!

When new skills or new habits and behaviours are needed, how do you respond?

Really knowing what to do and how to do it is one thing, being able to respond effectively and to keep calm under pressure on a consistent basis is a very different ballgame.  As professionals and leaders in today’s business world, it is crucial to learn how to work differently and how to be able to shift and be flexible to meet expectations which are here one day and gone the next.

The shelf-life of a great idea or a new product or service has never been shorter, and it is up to you as a business owner to become an expert when reshaping strategies, adding new incentives to existing products, and to stay on top of your game in the face of an ever changing industry.

You may find that your strength was required to get your company up and running but that same strength is now sapping the creativity of your team.

It’s time for new habits!  It’s time to unlock the incredible potential that is inside you that is now required to get the job done under present day regulatory and client demands.  If you are dedicated to building new habits (getting past the old habits of your past conditioning and the rut that we often get into), it is essential to build the new behaviours and form effective habits quickly and in real time.  By learning to recognize those habits you don’t want and those new ones that you do, you will be able to create incredible opportunities for your company and for yourself with lightning speed.

Start where you are, and begin today to create success in your business and your life.  Drop the excuses, reasons or people to blame, dis-empowering attitudes and behaviours and get on with the business you know you want to have.  Do what you know you want to do, and do it with passion.  Begin today to create the tomorrow you want.
